Soomer: “A day I would like to forget”

30.08.2020

Hannes Soomer (Kallio Racing, Yamaha) crashed out on the first lap of the second race of the fourth round of the Supersport World Championship in Aragon, Spain today.

For Soomer, today's race ended in the fourth corner of the first lap. The start was not very good for him, and in the post-start fight, he took a risk, but touched the curb of the corner and crashed out.

"Today is a day I would like to forget. Attacking, I put myself in the wrong place and crashed,” said Soomer, who showed results in the top five in Free Practices and Qualification. "This weekend showed that we have the speed, now it has to be formalized into results. I am grateful to the whole team and everyone behind me. We are no longer looking for big changes, we are working on the details.”

Andrea Locatelli (BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team) took his seventh consecutive win this year today.

The Supersport class World Championships continue next weekend on the same circuit in Aragon, Spain.
