Hannes is looking forward to FP3

Hannes: „I am satisfied with FP1, but not with FP2“

Hannes Soomer (MPM WILSport Racedays) was 10th and 13th in the Free Practice sessions of the second round of the Supersport World Championships in Thailand.

„I am satisfied with the first practice session but not with the second one,“ said Soomer. „We made a rather big change on the motorcycle and I was aware that it would be difficult to implement it. FP1 proved that we were moving in the right direction, but in FP2 I took a fall in lap three or four. After that repairing the motorcycle took time and the bike dot take my command any more the way I wanted it to. Now we have time to think in the evening and prepare for tomorrow.“

The aim for Soomer is to be better than the qualification and test results that he showed in Australia and he says that they have to try a new approach in the setup of the bike to achieve this.

The conditions in Buriram are quite tough – the air temperature is around 35-37 degrees Celsius. To fight the heat Soomer is consuming some special drinks and takes a cold shower before going on the track.
