The 7th round of the World Championship was held at Brno in Czech Republic. Hannes started the race from 13th position and finished the first lap on the same position. On the second lap he fell to 16th position but then started a fierce battle to regain places and by the 8th lap he was on P11. The remaining last 8 laps were a constant battle with a Kawasaki rider Rob Hartog and Hikari Okubo, also Kawasaki. Hannes finished the 16 lap race on P12 earning 4 championship points. After the 7th round Hannes is holding 20th place with 11 points in the overall standing.
"I am very pleased with the race. I lost a lot of places in the start but I managed to take them back with the first laps. Throughout the race there was a constant battle with Hartog and Okubo, which was heavy on my tires and so I couldn't hold the best pace in the final laps. I am very happy with the weekends work. We are back at working on fine tuning and I think that in Misano in three weeks time we can build on the foundation of this weekends work, not to start from zero. Thank you to all the sponsors and supporters and to everyone involved. - Hannes
